To understand the consequences of different actions.
In the first week of term we went into the woodlands to create our names out of outdoor materials.
In art this term we are looking at the artist Paul Klee. We have been practicing the skill of tinting by adding white to make the colour lighter.
We then used our knowledge of tinting to recreate one of Paul Klee's pieces of artwork.
In Maths we have been looking at comparing numbers using greater than, less than and equal to.
In Science, we have been looking microhabitats so we went into the woods to explore microhabitats for lots of different minibeasts. We found lots of different minibeasts including spiders, snails and slugs.
We have been looking at the story of Goldilocks and the Three bears. We made oat cookies for Goldilocks using healthy foods including banana and raisins.
In Geography we have been exploring human and physical features. Human features are things built by humans whereas physical features are natural.
In History, we are starting to look at toys. The children thought about all the different toys they like to play with.
In art, we recreated a piece inspired by Claude Monet. He was a French artist. We used tape to make the bridge.
In PE, we worked as a team to make different faces using hoops, bean bags and cones.
This term it was Time Table Rockstars day. The children had lots of fun learning their timestables and pretending to be rockstars for the day.
