Trailblazers in Our Community

The oldest and largest free summer day program in the country, Camp Courant is committed to providing transformative experiences that can alter the trajectory of a child's life.

We are busy creating an exciting camp community that will have a positive and lifelong impact on our young campers—a camp where kids can experience diversity by meeting children from all backgrounds, where they can learn to be independent and where they will be challenged to try new activities—all while having a healthy dose of fun!

Q Plus is grassroots, community-based, youth-led, and volunteer-run. We are a group of teens, young adults, and older adult supporters. We work to create more youth accessible spaces, uplift youth voices, and empower youth. Our overall goal is to create space for queer youth to be authentically and entirely themselves. Every event and program we support is born of a need identified by queer young people, rather than suggested by adults. Our plan is to continue changing and evolving as the needs of queer youth continue to change and evolve.

One of the oldest organizations of its kind in the country, Community Partners in Action was founded nearly 150 years ago to champion criminal justice reform and advocate for preserving the dignity of those in and out of prison. Through our programs that include reentry and housing, youth initiatives, a nationally-recognized Prison Arts Program, and holistic alternatives to incarceration, we provide long-term impact that positively transforms individuals and society at large. Annually serving nearly 7,000 individuals throughout Connecticut, our work is possible due to partnerships with and support from individuals, government, private funders, organizations and businesses.
