When this project started I didn't know what to do at all. When Ryan came up to me and asked to work together I said sure right away. he had an idea right off the bat. He wanted to make a shield. I know nothing about shield and really didn't have a desire to make one, but I kew that Ryan knew about shields and he was truly passionate about it so that is what we did. I had low expectations o what were would be able to make and the final product looked far better than I thought it would. In our original plan we wanted to have to boards on the sides to angle inwards. during the process we decided that not angling the outer most boards would look better in the end. Other than that one change our final design looked identical to our sketch in the beginning. The hardest part of this project was the stencil for the spray paint. I decided to put tape on a piece of wood and cut it out with the laser cutter. I then had to transfer the stencil from the one piece of wood onto the shield will all of the small and intricate pieces. I used the initiative transferable skill because one day ryan was absent and I had to work a lot harder in order to stay on our time frame.
