When I started this project I was given two drawings to go off of. Luckily these drawings had very good dimensions so it was easy to make the original model. The hardest part of this project were the fine details that I wanted to ad to the model to make it look more realistic.
After I modeled the design to their specifications, I had to make alterations. One of these alterations was adding a chimney. Although there are pizza ovens without chimneys, for the use of a school a chimney is more beneficial. This is because in a school setting, teaching would be the main topic. While teaching a class it would be bad to have smoke coming out the front of the oven instead of out the top. The other issue that was confusing was the "ash cleanout". This was confusing because the oven floor is flat and solid. This being said, the "ash cleanout" would not be able to access anything. I used the Accessing and Analyzing information rubric to solve these issues.
After research I modeled another pizza oven that has a chimney. I had to orient the oven differently, but this arrangement does allow for a table to be put next to the oven for finished pizzas. When I have finished rendering this model I plan on emailing the team in charge and explain my findings to them to hopefully find some clarity. Below are pictures of my model and the renderings.
