This project was our first individual project in a while. It started with almost a whole week off researching and sketching. When we finally had a sketch that was to scale and represented a plausible design we were able to move on to styrofoam. Using the styrofoam cutter I made, we cut and sanded until our designs were the same as our drawings. The next step was to move on to the wood. having already cut out designs out of styrofoam, this part was a lot easier because we knew what to expect.
I ran into some problems while I was cutting out my car. There was one point when the entire back of car snapped off and I had to figure out how to glue it back together. This is one one of the times I had to use the agility and adaptability transferable skill. Another problem was that my rear axles were too close to the CO2 opening which caused my back wheels to not turn. After the first day of testing I had the fastest car, and at the end of everything I finished in second.
