The video contains a short sequence of a night recording that took place in a small forest in Schulzendorf, Germany in August 2025. Not far from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), where there is a night flight ban from midnight to 5 a.m. in the morning.
Same place at dawn.
Beavers, a primarily nocturnal species, have been present in the landscape for millions of years. During summertime they may be active in the early morning hours too. By slowing the flow of water, beavers create unique habitats and biotopes for many other species. They are true creators of biodiversity and helpful companions in restoring wetlands and mitigating the effects of climate change.
Recording devices and microphone used:
A wind protected Sony PCM M10 recorder, attached to a tree.
Environmental protection with respect for living beings, plants and microorganisms could be a part of every person's life. So that future generations can also marvel at this fascinating and enchanting interaction.
Let's respect, protect and preserve biodiversity!
The photos were taken at the same or near the location where the field recording took place.
At night it became quite windy and a little noisy in the Schulzendorfer beaver wetlands...
I call it blue...
