This video contains an evening recording taken at a mountain stream during the Genji firefly season in early June. During the firefly season, various species of crickets and the calls of Kajika frogs can be heard along the river, creating a very special atmosphere.
Photographing fireflies requires a longer exposure time and a higher ISO setting. This results in grainy photos. Fireflies appear as light trails when they fly. To get an idea of what it actually looks like., watch the videos of Akinori Tsuji. The scientist and firefly researcher filmed the blinking pattern and the synchronisation abilities of Genji fireflies with a very light-sensitive camera. https://www.youtube.com/@akinoritsuji4414
