I was born in 1965 in Bottrop, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. In 1986 I moved to Freiburg im Breisgau, near the Black Forest.
In 1992 I acquired the “Certified Novell Engineer (CNE)” certification and worked as a Systems Engineer for international companies in the southern part of Germany and Switzerland for about 25 years. From 2007 to 2014, I lived in Switzerland near Zurich together with my family.
In summer 2014, I moved to Japan with my Japanese wife and our children. I discovered the beautiful nature of Shikoku and started to work with natural products like bamboo. In 2016, I created the nature pattern artwork that was exhibited at the Tokushima LED Art Festival 2016. Since 2021, I have been passionate about field recording and started to experience and discover the world around me by listening.
I was interested in arts, photography and music since I was young, born and grown up in the city where the famous artist Josef Albers was born. Not far from the venue where the well-known "Rockpalast Festival" used to take place. Inspired by music genres like Krautrock, Progressive Rock, Electronic Music, Musique Concrète (e.g. Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Kraftwerk, Pierre Schaeffer, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Iannis Xenakis, ...), I am fascinated about combining field recordings with audio visualizations, granular synthesis and electronic music.
