Students and parents it is important to know that the state of California passed AB 469 which requires ALL seniors to complete FAFSA or California Dream Act (CADAA) or an opt out form by the end of senior year.

Submitting your FAFSA application at fafsa.gov or on the myStudentAid mobile app is the fastest and easiest way to complete the application.

Cal Grant is a financial aid program administrated by the California Student Aid Commission providing aid to California undergraduates, vocational training students, and those in teacher certification programs. Cal Grants are the largest source of California state funded student financial aid.
After your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has been filed, you can be considered for a California Grant (Cal Grant). All Wm. S. Hart District seniors are submitted for a Cal Grant electronically, so you do not need to apply individually or fill out any paperwork. Information regarding Cal Grants can be found at https://www.csac.ca.gov/cal-grants.
AFTER you have filed a FAFSA, you can go online and check the status of your Cal Grant application by logging on to https://mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov and creating an account. This secure site will let you view the status of your Cal Grant application, update your address, view payment history or tell us you're changing your school.
The CSS Profile is an application administered by the College Board for college financial aid required by some colleges, universities and scholarship organizations. The schools that require the application are mostly private colleges or other institutions that have large endowments. While many are private institutions, some are public schools.
