BRIDGE-separate-card.pdf

The BRIDGE (Building Resourceful Individuals to Develop Georgia’s Economy) Act, House Bill 400, was signed into law May 2010 to create an atmosphere motivating middle- and high-school students to learn because they see the relevance of education to their dreams and future plans.

In 8th grade the Bridge Law requirements are met through Mrs. Walker teaching class lessons and administering YouScience:Snapshot to all 8th graders. These lessons include:

  • explaining the requirements for high school graduation

  • understanding of the pathways offered by the high school

  • being introduced to the Dual Enrollment program

  • helping students analyze their YouScience results & register for high school electives based on those results

  • creating an Individaulized Graduation Plan (IGP)

You Science:Snapshot will be administered to all 8th graders. Check out the YouScience tab under Counseling Lessons to learn more!

YouScience is the science of YOU – how your mind is wired, what makes you tick, the skills and knowledge that set you apart.

"Snapshot by YouScience also offers a series of analytics and academic advising tools that counselors can use to help students choose the appropriate high school curriculum and CTAE Pathways."

To view your child's assessment results go to their Infinite Campus account, click on "My Career Plan" tab followed by selecting "YouScience."
