Writing

Writing is full of creativity and learning in third grade! Many students that tend to struggle with writing in second grade, leave third grade with more of an awareness of paragraph structure, voice, and coherence.  All written work will be planned, typed, and edited on the Chromebooks and graded with a 4 point rubric (a 4 being the highest score).  

I am very passionate about teaching writing since I absolutely love to write! My goal is to help the children find their "inner author" this year.

We follow the themes and planning from Wit & Wisdom.  The students will learn how to create written responses after reading passages or stories and we will focus on writing constructive arguments or opinion pieces and compare and contrast essays.
