Posting Jobs to Indeed
As of April 2026, Indeed has updated how jobs appear in search results. In simple terms, jobs that aren't sponsored are now less likely to be shown to candidates. So even if a job is live, it may not be seen as often as before.
Indeed is now deciding which jobs to show, not just listing everything. They're prioritizing jobs that are sponsored and jobs that are performing well.
This means organic reach is no longer guaranteed, even with the right set up.
What this means for you:
If you've been relying on free Indeed traffic, you may see fewer applicants on some roles, slower application flow, and more competition for visibility.
Best Practices:
Keep it simple! Identify your priority roles, especially those that are hard to fill or business critical.
Make sure those roles are visible. Sponsoring key roles will now be the main way to do this.
Keep job content strong. Clear titles, pay rates, and quick responses help performance, of which the Harri job templates already support you with.
Remove all duplicate jobs postings. If you have jobs posted to Indeed already (either through McHire or Indeed directly), delete the previously posted jobs. Duplicate job postings will be "flagged" and won't be shown to candidates.
Only post jobs for 30 days. The Evergreen feature is super nice, but do not use it for Indeed job posts. Post your jobs for 30 days, maximum, and be sure to go repost after the 30 days is up. You can continue to use the Evergreen feature for other job boards.
