Bachelor's of Science in Applied Physics
- Minor in Mathematics and Humanities
- Thesis: Identification of Semiconductors Through Positron Annihilation
- Experience in computational physics, web design, and C++ programming.
Working on Master's degree in Medical Physics
- Research: Treatment of prostate cancer through high dose radiation brachytherapy.

I'm a mad Scientist!

Or at least I'm mad about science! I have always loved trying to figure out how the world works and why things do what they do since I was a little kid. Physics was a good fit for me. I love it and I love helping my students learn to love science too!

My Family:

I come from a large family. I have one older sister and three younger brothers. Our Father was in the United States Air Force and we moved around a lot. Once he retired we settled in Idaho on an awesome farm. I love the farm life and the mountains.

Jared is my other half. He was also in the United States Air Force. Currently retired and working as a welder. We don't have any human children. We have 3 fur babies.

Fur Babies!

Pup

A cat named Pup, because she acts like a dog. Pup is silly and likes to spend most of her time outside. As you can see she likes to hide underthings. She is Charcoal's best bud.

Shadow

Shadow is almost 3 years old. He is 50% Golden Retriever and 50% Australian Shepherd. He is a ball of energy and wishes he could come to school. He loves to play fetch, bug the cats, and play with his squeaky toys.

Tricks he knows:

Fetch, sit, lay down, roll over, stay, high five, high ten, shake, speak, and pick a hand.

Shadow is too smart for his own good and it gets him into trouble.

Blue

Blue is also half Golden Retriever and half Australian Shepherd. She is almost 1 year old. Her name is blue because she has one blue eye.

She is pregnant!

Bonnie and Clyde

Bonnie and Clyde are our fur fosters who actually live through the woods behind our house but they come and spend the night at our house and get free food. So pretty much they do whatever they want and mooch off of us.

My Hobbies

Cake Decorating

My first job in high school was as a cake decorator at Baskin Robbins. I scooped ice cream and decorated cakes. I still love decorating cakes even though I don't do it for a job anymore.

The Great Outdoors

I love being outside. I love to hike, camp, be in the mountains or at the beach. I love to snow ski, snowboard, and wakeboard. I also have a large vegetable and flower garden.

Building Stuff

I like to build stuff. I like to make furniture and puzzles. Most of all I get to use power tools!

Art

I love to paint and draw and have been doing it since I was a little girl. My grandpa was a painter and I wanted to be just like him.

Cooking

I love cooking. My favorite food is mac n cheese!

Quilting and Crocheting

I love to sew/quilt and crochet. My Mother taught me how to sew and crochet. It is something I do after school to help me relax.

Rocks

Last but definitely not least, I LOVE ROCKS! I love collecting rocks, tumbling rocks, shaping rocks, polishing rocks, and growing crystals. I have a LOT of rocks!

If you ever see me walking and staring at the ground, it is because i'm looking for rocks. I have actually found some pretty cool ones behind the high school when I go for walks.
