Welcome to Physics! The science above all sciences! Okay maybe not, but I still think so! This year we will be studying how the world works. Math is the language of Physics, you will need to have a good foundation of math to succeed in this class. I will show you how to do some tricks to help you organize the math better. Although we are experiencing strangeness through Covid-19, my aim is to still make class fun and an engaging experience for all.

This course is broken up into 3 different sections that follow the North Carolina Essential Standards in Physics:
Forces and Motion - 1st 6 weeks
Energy: Conservation and Transfer - 2nd 6 weeks
Interactions of Energy and Matter - 3rd 6 weeks
The standards will be taught in order and each section will be broken down into the 3 different 6 week periods throughout the semester.
The majority of the coursework will be online (printable worksheets will be available).
All assignments and practice for each unit will be posted at the same time. If you feel comfortable working ahead in the unit, that is fine. However we will progress to the next unit together as a class.
You will have mastery quizzes at the end of each unit and an exam at the end of each section.
All unit assignment are due at the end of each unit before we take our mastery quiz. You may work ahead in each unit if you feel comfortable.
