About Floyd and Betty Newman The Newmans lived in the Morton community for over 50 years. They had five children all of which graduated from Harleton High School. Floyd and Betty were blessed with 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. They loved Harleton ISD and were supportive of the many events their family participated in.

The Jada morrow dream scholarship

The Jada Morrow Dream Scholarship was established to honor Jada Morrow, a beloved graduate of Harleton High School Class of 2003. Jada’s first love and passion was theatre arts, one act plays, and Broadway shows. He performed in many plays, won numerous awards, and was highly recognized in his performances for Harleton High School. Jada always said that if he could be paid to do anything that he loved, it would be acting. Eligibility: Must be a highly passionate 2019 senior involved in One Act Play or any theatre- related activities and in good standing. Etex Telephone Cooperative, Inc. is pleased to inform you that it will award scholarships to eligible students

again this year. The Board of Directors of Etex Telephone Cooperative, Inc. has made $4,000.00, a prorated

portion of total allocated funds, available for scholarships at your institution. We would like to award four

$1,000 scholarships.

The one requirement that must be met by the recipients of these dollars is that their residence must receive some

type of service that Etex offers. This includes landline, video, and/or internet services. In order to verify that

Society of Petroleum East Texas Section Scholarship

The East Texas Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers awards scholarships to selected graduating high school seniors, who plan on majoring in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering at an accredited four year university. Freshmen receive $500 per semester, upper classmen receive $1,000 per semester for a total of $7,000 given over 4 years. To remain eligible, a student must maintain a 3.0 GPA and 30 hours of course work per year. Only students who are selected to receive the scholarship will be contacted.

TEXAS FAIRS & EVENTS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

Application Deadline: April 1, 2020 - Application must be received in The Park of East Texas office by this date to be considered as a possible nominee by The Park of East Texas for this scholarship award.

Eligibility: Scholarships are granted to graduating Texas high schools students attending an accredited college or university the following semester. Student must have participated actively in an event of The Park of East Texas, including the East Texas State Fair and Academic Rodeo.

EAST TEXAS lighthouse for the blind Scholarship Program

The Scholarship Program provides financial assistance toward the cost of higher education which can include tuition, books, housing and transportation to accredited Texas institutions. The Program was established by our Board of Directors in 2009, to promote upward mobility and education for the blind and children of the blind. Scholarships are not guaranteed and all applicants must submit proper paperwork in a timely manner to be considered.
