Welcome Back!

We hope you enjoyed a wonderful week off with your family and found joy in celebrating our risen savior this Easter week! Christ is Risen, He is risen indeed!

As we get back into our routine, there are many things to look forward to in April - a field trip, HCS Ag Day, a Spring Concert, and more. There are only 7 weeks of the school year and we look forward to making each one count with your students.

Math Facts

We will be doing a mixture of addition and subtraction facts this quarter. There will be 30 math facts on their Friday timed tests going forward. If you notice your student is struggling with their math fact tests, please take some extra time to practice with them at home each night. Thank you!

Friendly Reminders

Library Books must be returned to school on Thursday.

Please be sure your child is wearing appropriate shoes and clothes for P.E. on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Please send a reusable water bottle with your child to school each day. Thank you!

Weekly Expectations

Reading: Please have your child read aloud to you for 20 minutes each night and record the title on the homework log.

Math: On Tuesdays and Thursdays, your child will have a practice timed math facts test. The test will come home for you to review with your child and finish completing if needed. Please return the completed test the next day.

We will start the math homework in class each day. At the end of our math time, your child will take home their math homework, completed or not, to be reviewed with a parent and completed if necessary. All math pages must be returned the following day to be looked over by the teacher and reviewed as a class.

Memory Verse: Please help your child memorize their assigned memory verse.

Superkids Backpack Pages: You will be receiving a Superkids workbook to keep at home that we will refer to as “Backpack Pages.” You will be responsible for helping your child tear out and complete the assigned pages each week. These pages will be turned in each day. The weekly spelling list and assigned backpack pages will be updated below each week and tested on Friday.
