Week 26
Grandparents Day
We are excited to celebrate Grandparents Day this Friday! Doors for the program will open at 9:15 AM, and the Kindergarten–5th grade program will begin at 10:15 AM. After the program, grandparents will be invited to visit their grandchild’s classroom and may take their grandchild with them afterward. Please keep in mind that this is a half day, so plan how your student will be going home. If you have any specific instructions for your child that day, feel free to communicate them with us.
Fundraiser Lunch
Following our Grandparents' Day activities on Friday, February 27, the seventh grade class will be hosting an In 'N' Out lunch fundraiser on our campus. This fundraiser helps fund the students' trip to Washington DC in the spring of 2027. This is a wonderful trip and an experience they will never forget.
Each meal consists of a cheeseburger, a bag of potato chips, and a bottle of water. Consider bringing a blanket and making it a picnic, or you may eat your lunches at any of the picnic tables across the campus. Lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 and tables will be set up outside the 4th and 5th grade classrooms. The cost for each meal is $10; please bring cash or a check (payable to Hanford Christian School).
If you think you might like to purchase a lunch - please fill out this interest form to help us plan for the number of meals needed.
Additionally, our school is hosting a book sale in the gym. When you have finished eating, please check it out.
Book Fair
The library will host a book fair with I55 in the gym, Feb.23-27. Students will have the opportunity to preview books and create a “wish list” of books which interest them. They will be able to make purchases during their usual library visit. If you choose to send payment with them, please remember to add appropriate tax. The book fair will also be open after school, Monday-Friday. Refer to the “Warrior Weekly for after-school sales schedule, as well as a code for online sales. HCS will receive a portion of the sales for book purchases!
