By placing two fingers on the touchpad simultaneously and clicking the touchpad, the device will register a “right-click”. If you are using a device that has a touchscreen, it is similarly touching the same spot of the screen with two fingers simultaneously.
To take a screenshot on a Chromebook students hold down the “Ctrl” key and press the window switcher key. The window switcher key is in the center of the top row of keys above the number 6 and looks like a rectangle with two lines directly to its right. To take a partial screenshot they hold down the “Ctrl” key and the “Shift” key and the window switcher key, then click and drag to select the desired area.
TO COPY: After highlighting the desired text/image, “right-click” to bring up a menu and select “Copy…” If you would prefer to use a keyboard shortcut, hold down “Ctrl” and press “C” to copy the selection.
TO PASTE: With a document or email open, “right-click” where you wish to add the copied data and select “Paste”. If you would prefer to use a keyboard shortcut, hold down “Ctrl” and press “V” to paste.
The keyboard shortcut for “select all” is to hold down the “Ctrl” key and press the “A” key.
