Crawshaw Satellite

A Special Learning Centre within a regular primary school. A two class satellite within Crawshaw Primary School. The Junior class has a fully equipped kitchen, laundry and bathroom facilities accessed by both Senior and Junior classes.

Te Ao Mārama Satellite

A Special Learning Centre within a regular primary school. Te Ao Mārama Satellite is situated on the grounds of Te Ao Mārama School, located in the north of Hamilton in the suburb of Sylvester. It is a stand alone unit that comprises two classes, quiet work spaces, a sensory room, large break out area, attached outdoor area with appropriate equipment to support foundation skill development, kitchen, laundry and a full care bathroom.

Rototuna Senior High School

A Specialised Learning Centre within a mainstream setting that caters for students up to 18 years of age in a modern learning environment in a High School setting. Transition Class

OBJECTIVES:

The Arts

Visual Art and Music Specialist Teachers

Fundamental Skills

Specialist Teachers

During Fundamental Skills sessions students are exposed to developmentally based movement activities and games that optimize their ongoing learning. We aim to lay down a comprehensive range of strategies that build body control, strengthen eye tracking abilities, develop balance, position in space awareness and midline development.

Project Energize - Sport Waikato

Specialist Teachers

Project Energize, which began in 2005, increases children's physical activity, improves their nutrition and ultimately their overall health. Hamilton North School has a Specialist Teacher who runs this programme in house, with the support of Sport Waikato.
