Hamdard University Dental Hospital is a special library of dental collections that supports students and faculty in their study, teaching, and research needs. Our collections include books, current journals, and reference materials like dictionaries, encyclopedias, and atlases.
Carry your student ID card with you when you enter the library.
Do not take any book out of the library without following the borrowing procedures.
Make sure to return the borrowed items by the due date.
In case any of the borrowed items are lost, damaged, or destroyed, you are required to replace the lost /damaged/destroyed book with a new one.
Never write in books or cut pages out of them.
Return books to their original location on the bookshelf.
No personal bag or book is allowed in the library. A special rack is available outside the things to keep such things. However, students can take their books and bags to the reading room adjacent to the library.
The library staff will not be responsible for the precious things kept in the handbags, briefcases
Note:
Textbooks will be issued for 14 working days only and will be reissued the next day
Visiting faculty members will draw books from the library with the approval of the concerned HOD (one book per subject for 15 days).
Borrowers are responsible for the safe return of all the borrowed material to the library at the proper time
If the book is lost, damaged, or destroyed a replacement of the book or a fine, which may be up to four times the actual cost of the book, will be charged
In case the lost or damaged book is a part of a multi-volume set, the borrower will have to replace the full set or pay the cost of the full set and a fine if determined by the library committee.
Borrowers are advised to check the books at the time of issue and in case of any defect/damage inform the library staff
The new arrival has been placed in front of the library circulation counter near the entrance door.
We have Five International Journal of Dentistry and 11 Local Journal of Dentistry
Computers are also available for student, faculty and provides online access to digital library
The library has subscribed to a wide range of English and Urdu, leading national newspapers, and Dental News.
The library also maintains a two-month previous record of the newspapers for reference and research purposes.
A photocopy facility is available for readers to make copies of reference books because these books are not being issued.
