INTRODUCTION

Periodontology is a branch of dentistry that deals with diagnosing, preventing, and treating diseases of the gums and supporting structures of teeth, identification between normal and diseased periodontium. It deals with maintaining oral health, preserve natural dentition, and prevent systemic complications linked to periodontal disease.

Oral medicine is a specialized field of dentistry focused on the diagnosis and non-surgical management of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial region, as well as the oral manifestations of systemic diseases. It acts as a bridge between medicine and dentistry, requiring a deep understanding of both.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF FACULTY

Periodontology Department comprises of Prof. Syed Imran Hasan who is the head of department trails down to Dr Amna Arsalan, Dr Bilal Shahid Ansari, Dr Simrat Mohan and Dr Syed Saad Ali, all fulfilling their duties as lecturers of the respective department.

Periodontology Department provides dental treatments such as: Scaling, Root planning, Fluoride treatment, Teeth Whitening, Deep Curettage, Periodontal surgeries, Crown Lengthening and Dental Implant
