Join The Team!

We are always looking for new members to join the Cherokee Bluff Academic Team. If you enjoy learning, competition, trivia, teamwork, or just want to try something new, the Academic Team might be for you.

You do not have to be a straight-A student to join.
You do not have to know everything.
You just have to be willing to try, learn, and compete.

Who Can Join?

• Any Cherokee Bluff student may join the Academic Team.

• Freshmen are encouraged to attend practices to gain experience and learn how matches work.

• Sophomores, juniors, and seniors compete in matches.

• Freshmen may compete if they demonstrate strong academic performance and receive a teacher recommendation.

If you know a lot about anything, we can use you on the team.

Do I Have to Make All A’s?

No. Absolutely not!

The Academic Team is for:

• Students who like trivia  (but do not want to answer questions Jeopardy-style)

• Students who like competition  (do you like to win?)

• Students who like teamwork  (makes the dream work!)

• Students who are really good at one subject  (any subject from pop culture, music, and gaming to physics and history)

• Students who know random facts  (the more random stuff you know, the better!)

• Students who just want to try something new  (give it a try!)

If you like learning, laughing, competition, or trivia, then you will fit right in.

Cost

The Academic Team dues are $30, which includes:

• Team t-shirt

• Competition registration fees

• Snacks

• Team practice materials

• Graduation cords (when earned)
