The Technology Investment Committee (TIC) reviews requests for College-wide technology and makes recommendations to the President's Cabinet for technology investments. New resources are now available to support HACC employees through the technology evaluation and funding process. The department of Information Technology continues to work diligently toward implementing new and innovative projects that will strengthen the business processes for HACC.
The following projects have been completed this year in support of the college's mission to educate students, and in support of COVID 19 efforts to work remotely as well. Our core units include Client Services, System Administration, and Network and Telecom. Each one of these units has contributed significantly in terms of competing projects that will make our technology systems more robust and scalable.

Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) Pilot
Cybersecurity Awareness
College-Wide Contact Center (ADMISSIONS, ADVISING, FIANAID, WELCOME, CASHIER)
Cisco AnyConnect (25 Licenses) for contractors
Cisco Jabber Softphone
Security Camera Project Installation
8 Cisco Switches for the Communication and Speech rooms
Welcomed three new team members: Todd Price and Paul Speraw, network infrastructure specialists and Timothy Eyer, telecom administrator.
System Administration Team
Completed Projects:
Installation of new and replacement Security Cameras at the Harrisburg and Lancaster Campuses
Migration to C-Cure for badge access to buildings
Rebuilt Enterprise Backup procedure to deduplicate data and improve performance. Saw significant decrease in the amount of storage currently being utilized using the new process and backup times are improved as well.
Built a new SQL Server Cluster and development system for the Database Administration team (ES)
Welcome two new team members: Michael Brommer, system administrator and Russ Shader, Exchange/Office 365 system administrator.
Client Services Team
Current Projects:
Implementation of Always On Virtual Private Network (AOVPN). Currently averaging 325 concurrent connections throughout the day.
Windows update to current release for student systems. The team has completed 3,524 systems to date.
Continuing to update systems that were removed from campus in March as well as issuing new laptops for remote work.
