Kudos to Trevor Stynes, lead systems administrator, who has been tremendously helpful in collaborating with Facilities on researching a new fuel management system for our campus fleet. He has gone above and beyond in carrying the workload.
Kudos to the Facilities Maintenance & Grounds crew at Harrisburg - the dream team of Jim Staub, Sean Beaver, Brett Thompson, Erik Hansbury, Brian Cigic, Bill Woodell, Todd Gilbert, Randy Fetterolf, Steve Moore, Ray Wiersma and Leroy Wade have been phenomenal throughout the pandemic. They have done more with less, and they have all stepped up to share a greater workload together - they keep the campus running behind the scenes.
Kudos to Erick Whiteside, Lancaster Campus specialist, general maintenance, for working on room 326 Main to relocate and upgrade the lighting in the video conference room. In order to enhance the viewing quality, the lights had to be rotated 90 degrees and moved to provide a better picture quality on the screens.
Kudos to Dale Hardy, Lebanon Campus tech, general maintenance, for developing an inventory of student art remaining on campus. After the inventory was established, Dale contacted former art students to arrange to pick up their art. The inventory included over eight pages of names and art pieces.
Kudos to Mary Wallick, Lancaster and Lebanon Campus Library specialist, and her team for their foresight in developing an inventory of the Lebanon library items and designating them for future movement to other locations. These efforts will greatly assist the future development of the library spaces on the Lebanon Campus.
Kudos to the York Facilities team for stepping up when things need done to maintain the building spaces for the students and faculty taking hands-on lab classes.
Kudos to the Gettysburg Facilities team who continue to embrace the One-College reorganization and making a smooth transition.

Kudos to Alexis Baker, Jay Lohman and Belinda Ward for leading the Facilities team and the College in the transition to a new and exciting work order system - SchoolDude. For months, the Facilities team has been busy behind the scenes uploading campus information into the new platform. The streamlined and user-friendly work request system is on target to be live by January 2021.

Kudos to Monica Dixon-Howard, assistant director, Student Involvement, for the planning of “Black Lives Matter & the Legacy of George Floyd: A Conversation.” This thought-provoking event helped all participants to challenge their understanding and beliefs of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Kudos to Cindy Strawbridge, assistant director, Student Involvement, for her creative collaboration with Chef Tom Long for “Let’s Get Cooking with Chef Tom” to provide tasty and quick meals for students, faculty, and staff. In addition, Cindy has created Wellness Wednesdays with Chloe Knill, Gettysburg Campus SGA president, to provide self-care to students, faculty, and staff.
Kudos to Wendy Brubaker, assistant director, Student Involvement, for organizing and sponsoring the first Esports tournaments at HACC! Esports activities will operate this year through the collaboration of Wendy Brubaker, Student Involvement, and Lisa Cleveland, Athletics. We already have our first student winner, HACC nursing student, Andrew Gardjulis, who won the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference FIFA 2020 esports competition October 23, 2020!

Kudos to Erik Hansbury, facilities staff in-house plumber for stepping up and absorbing all the responsibilities associated with keeping the pool running in the J. Evans Physical Education Building; keeping water levels up, maintaining pH levels and alkalinity, ensuring the cleanliness of the water, and more in addition to his regular duties. We also thank Patty Lentz for doing this for many years and we are thrilled to turn it back over to Patty.
Kudos to Jay Lohman and his Automotive team working to preserve our automotive assets that are sitting idle during the pandemic. They purchased several solar-powered battery maintainers that harness the power of the sun to charge the amorphous solar cells. This creates a trickle-charge to the car battery directly through the 12-volt DC plug (cigarette lighter). The kits are very affordable and can be seen on the shuttle buses, multi-passenger fleet vehicles, EVOC Dodge Chargers and the Ford Crown Victoria.

Kudos to Autumn Patti and the students in the Culinary Arts III class for the excellent meal and a very successful curbside pick-up culinary gala. Autumn’s work has helped students achieve learning outcomes in creating and preparing meals for this large event. Autumn’s creativity and flexibility offers such a great student experience which speaks to the high quality and excellence of this unique program.
