HACC Heroes: Student Emma Einwechter

During this COVID-19 pandemic, there are heroes all around us. These heroes are individuals who sacrifice their well-being, who show compassion or kindness to others, or who inspire us with their selflessness. Current HACC student and paramedic Emma Einwechter (pictured above) is one of those heroes.

Emma is a student at HACC’s Lancaster Campus, studying biology, and carrying a 4.0 GPA. Emma does all that while also working as a paramedic and serving on the front lines of this health crisis.

To students and staff in the Lancaster Campus tutoring center, Emma’s sacrifices and dedication to others is nothing new, for they saw it regularly in the time she worked there as a tutor. But those traits have gained the attention of the world now, too, as LNP recently ran an article featuring the work of paramedics and EMT’s and highlighting Emma as a member of that heroic group.

During this difficult time, stories like those of Emma remind all of us at HACC that we are not just changing the lives of our students, but our work also impacts the communities they serve as well.
