Jasmine Jones, HACC fall 2022 graduate, was recently named a semi-finalist for the Jack Kent Cooke scholarship. A list of all candidates can be found here. Finalists for the scholarship will be announced in the coming weeks.
Jasmine graduated from HACC with an associates in science degree in business administration. She was also a Bucknell Community College Scholars participant in summer 2021. Jasmine has been accepted to attend Bucknell University in fall 2023 and will receive a full tuition scholarship. KUDOS to Jasmine!
Meet HACC’s All-PA Academic team! Students completed an application through Phi Theta Kappa honor society and over 2,400 student applications were received nationally. Students were then nominated by a HACC faculty and staff committee to represent our college as part of the academic team. We are #HACCproud to have them represent HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College. A celebration of Pennsylvania community college students took place on March 27, 2023 at the Harrisburg Hilton Hotel.
Esma Alagic was selected as a 2023 Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar and will receive a $1,500 scholarship. She was awarded with a Gold medallion at the recognition ceremony.
Vance Hagarman received the 2023 New Century Workforce Pathway Scholar and will receive a $1,250 scholarship. Applications were received and evaluated on academic achievement, leadership, service, and significant endeavors. Vance received the highest score in Pennsylvania to be recognized with this honor.
A special congratulations to Michelle Dixon and Jasmine Ramos for also being nominated to receive the PASSHE APAT scholarship. This scholarship will pay for tuition costs for two years at a PASSHE university.
