Juliet Jones (who goes by Julie Jones) is an HR professional with 10+ years’ experience in Human Resources with an emphasis in Talent Acquisition, Full Life Cycle Recruitment, Benefits Administration, and Employee Relations. Julies’ prior experience with recruiting and HR experience was in the public and private sectors as a Human Resource Business Partner, later transitioning to HR Management – for prior employers such as the PEBTF and/or Capital Area Transit where Julie oversaw Recruiting and provided leadership and direction in the development of HR policies that promoted maximum effectiveness in the workforce while supporting the organization's mission and core values.
Julie Jones graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Master’s in Business Administration, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh (Poli-Sci), a Human Resource Management Certification from Villanova University, and is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management Agency known as SHRM. In her spare time, Julie enjoys spending time with her son (a 1st year college student), and her daughter (1st year MBA student) - as well as tons of community service hours serving various local for profit, and non-profit organizations, plus traveling and shopping. Julie is excited to join the HR department at HACC, and looks forward to using her experience and background to be an "added value" as well as learning from and growing with such an amazing HR team at HACC.
Hanna Carbaugh has been working in full lifecycle recruitment since graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2014 with a Bachelor's in Hospitality Management. Since then, she has spent time in staffing, manufacturing, and healthcare finding people for every kind of position from A-Z. She is currently a Master's student in the dual program of Human Resources and Employment Relations and Healthcare Administration and will be graduating in December of 2021.
Maya Green is an experienced HR professional specializing in organizing and leading teams, personnel and policy development, manpower and organizational development and strategic planning. She has served in the US Air Force for 23 years in various capacities to include Senior Advisor in Bosnia, Iraq and Germany. She is a graduate of Howard University, has a Master’s in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and is enrolled in the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification program through Syracuse University.
The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) allows eligible employees to take unpaid, job-protected leave for specified family and medical reasons with continuation of group health insurance coverage under the same terms and conditions as if the leave was not taken.
You are eligible for FMLA if you have:
worked for HACC at least 12 months; and
have at least 1250 hours during the 12-month period immediately preceding the start of the leave; and
have not already used the entire 12-week FMLA leave entitlement during the 12-month period
Under FMLA, eligible employees are entitled to:
Twelve (12) weeks of leave within a rolling 12-month period; or
Twenty-six (26) weeks of leave during a single 12-month period to care for a covered service member with a serious injury or illness. The eligible employee must be the spouse, child, parent, or next of kin (military caregiver leave) in order to qualify for this leave entitlement.

Once your application is reviewed, you will receive a confirmation of eligibility from fmla@hacc.edu along with access to any forms to complete the application process.
Complete the required certification form supporting the need for the leave, including documentation from a medical provider, if applicable. The college will then grant or deny the leave and will inform you of the decision.
