The Copper Quill is HACC's new literary journal. Combining existing campus efforts under the One College model and moving to an online platform, The Copper Quill is under the direction of student editors from across the College with support from faculty members Rick Kearns, Julie Shepard, and Christine Nowik. The journal accepts submissions on a rolling basis and plans to publish monthly. We welcome submissions and student involvement from students in any major! Please click here for the latest issue.
Congratulations Professor Ryan Neff for being nominated and earning the Professor of the Year Award at the SGA End of the Year Celebration. We remain proud of Professor Neff, especially obtaining this award in one of the most challenging years of our academic history. Ryan’s ability to have a positive impact on not only his students, but any student who is in contact with him is exceptional! Thank you, Ryan, for your dedication to our students.

On March 26 Professor Carole Knisley planned and organized the first Music Business Virtual Performance Day featuring student artists and original music. Check out the recording of this wonderful showcase!
Professor Knisley has been working diligently collaborating with regional organizations that partner with local high schools. She most recently established a partnership with Studio 117 in York, PA. This program will help to support the high school-to-college pipeline and further expose Music Audio and Recording Technology and Music Business programs to area high school students. We thank Professor Knisley for her continued efforts to market and further grow our exciting music business programs!
The Culinary and Baking programs undergo a facelift! Chef Autumn Patti, Asst. Professor of Culinary Arts and Program Director, Chef Chad Brumbach, Culinary Instructor and Chef Nicholas Webb, Adjunct Baking Instructor, while faced with some misfortune and change this past academic year and life truly gave them lemons the faculty made lemonade. With the recent closure of Bricco faculty retooled and collaborated to identify another partnership to support students in gaining direct hands-on baking and fooderie experience that would naturally transition into any restaurant environment. As a result, our faculty identified and successfully secured an alliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. Not only will students become official Hershey Entertainment & Resorts employees, but they can also include this additional credential on their resume and network for future job opportunities within or outside of the organization. We look forward to learning more about how this revitalized program will unfold this summer semester. Thank you to Chef Patti, Chef Brumbach and Chef Webb for your continued dedication to these programs and most importantly our students.
