Over the past few months, the Bookstore Request for Proposal (RFP) was evaluated to see if outsourcing the Bookstore should be considered.
The criteria for the College to outsource the Bookstore remained the same as the other outsourcing evaluations, which stated that the vendors had to deliver the same or better level of service and there had to be a material amount of savings realized.
When proposals were reviewed, it was clear that the Bookstore was operating efficiently, as there were no material savings to consider outsourcing. We would like to thank all of the employees in the Bookstore for their patience and professionalism as we worked through the evaluation process.
