Every two years, the HACC Alumni Association proudly recognizes exceptional alumni who inspire us with the Distinguished Alumni Award.
If you (or someone you know) exemplify the HACC "spirit" in their personal lives, professional achievements and community service, please complete a nomination form.
If there is a weather announcement regarding campus closures, it will only affect employees and students approved to be on campus. All other remote work, remote instruction and virtual learning courses will continue as scheduled.
We will communicate directly to students and employees approved to be on a HACC campus. Therefore, we will not be distributing a collegewide e2Campus message. In addition, we will not notify the local media.
Instead, we will:
Update the hacc.edu website
Send an email to employees who are approved to be on campus
Send an email to students who are approved to be on campus
Post an announcement to the collegewide Facebook and Twitter accounts
Please see the “Weather Announcement Process During COVID-19” tab on hacc.edu/Weather for more information. Also, please remember to continue wearing your mask, washing your hands and staying safe and healthy. You are important!
Do you know what percentage of students receive financial aid? Did you know the HACC Foundation funded $2,865,127 for projects at HACC during 2019-20? Are you aware of the percentage of students enrolled part time at HACC?
The answers to these questions and more can be found in the collegewide HACC By the Numbers document available on myHACC.
HACC By the Numbers is a tool used to provide interesting and impactful data and facts about the College. The document can be shared with current and future students, alumni, donors, vendors and members of the community to provide a quick overview of statistics about HACC and our students.
Please review the document to learn more about YOUR favorite community college.
HACC’s CARE Center completed its first semester of operation in fall 2020. The single-stop resource was created to assist students struggling outside of the classroom, thus enabling them to complete their studies.
The Center’s impact on HACC students affected by food insecurity, housing insecurity and financial crises was tremendous. We are #HACCproud that 90% of students who contacted the CARE Center successfully completed the fall 2020 semester. Only 6% withdrew from their classes.
These incredible results would not be possible without the HACC Foundation and its generous donors. The impact does not end with these students but extends to their families and communities.
The Center plans to expand its programs as we continue to support our most vulnerable students. To learn how you can support HACC’s CARE Center, please visit here.
e2Campus is HACC’s free alert system that allows you to stay informed quickly when the College has immediate announcements or emergencies. You can sign up to receive a text message on your mobile device and/or an email. For more information and to sign up, please visit www.hacc.edu/e2Campus.
While campuses are closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the College will not use e2Campus for weather-related announcements. Instead, the College will follow these guidelines: https://hacc.edu/Students/CollegeCalendars/Weather/
Like students all over the world, Courtney’s final months of high school were anything but ordinary as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic. She said, “I wasn’t too pleased that I didn’t have a ‘normal’ senior year, I wanted my prom, my softball season, and my actual graduation with everyone.” Instead, Courtney had to miss these high school cornerstones and finish her senior year online. Although there were disappointments in the spring, Courtney decided to keep looking forward. Head to our website to read how HACC fits in Courtney’s journey.
