We are #HACCProud for the collegewide engagement at our Week Zero January 2021 sessions dedicated to our commitment in Together We Are Stronger: Uniting for Success & Inclusion. We are grateful to Dr. Armenta Hinton, vice president of Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging and Title IX coordinator, for bringing a renowned scholar to HACC!
It was an honor to have Dr. Kevin Gannon as HACC’s first Diversity Scholar-in-Residence. Throughout the week he provided hope during a time of uncertainty and unprecedented change. This was supported with practical strategies all employees can use to infuse inclusivity into our learning environment. Our HACC colleagues also provided numerous sessions to support the success of our diverse student body. It has been exciting to hear from faculty and staff the numerous enhancements they are making to their courses as well as approaches to working with our students as a result of our Week Zero sessions! Thank you for your dedication to inclusive education at HACC.
