Kudos to Jim Koons, Matt Davis and Tom Schramm for their assistance to the Office of Academic Affairs. All three stuffed and mailed out over 1,500 fall 2020 Dean’s List certificates to our students. Because of these employees, our students received their certificates in a timely manner while the College remains remote.

Kudos to Matthew Pragel, Chair, mathematics and computer science department who has been appointed as the Student Math League Coordinator for the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC.) He will oversee the national math contest for two-year college students and present the regional and national awards at the annual AMATYC conference. Previously, Matthew served as HACC’s local contest coordinator for this competition since 2014.

Kudos to Shawn Dumez, Kristina Niemi-Blain, Neftali Perez, Brandon Powell, and Jim Walker, the client services team, for updating over 3800 student desktops and 600 remote laptops since COVID-19 closure back in March 2020. This team also moved all the equipment for the Midtown and Lebanon projects.

Kudos to Matt Gibson, system administrator, for all of his work to support our Students and Faculty through our Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment. Matt is currently providing support for and offering a VDI solution for 54 individual classes during the Spring 2021 Semester.

Quite a bit of planning, analysis, validation, collaboration, and documentation goes into each phase of this project and this marks the completion of a significant deliverable for this project. This milestone in particular was pertinent to enabling registration to open on time! Congratulations on this achievement!

Kudos to Kim Ketelsleger, Forrest Lysinger, Sari Bailey, Melissa Harden, Cristina Julan, Kelly Reed, Greg Woods and Josh Silbaugh for their work on the Engineering Career Day. This event was held on February 26, 2021. They hosted approximately 200 high school students into various virtual sessions to learn more about our Engineering programs. They did a great job with this virtual event!
