The HACC Foundation’s focus is to support our greatest assets – our students. The HACC Foundation is proud of how we impacted our students and central Pennsylvania.
Please watch this brief video to learn more about the impacts of the HACC Foundation during the global pandemic.
OCA has implemented a Google website search on our development website. Adding a Google website search means we added Google’s search capability and functionality in place of our website’s regular search. The results of the search are then formatted similarly to Google’s.
Our development website is a slightly older version of our current website that we use for testing new features and functionality. No public traffic goes to the site – it’s strictly used for internal testing purposes only.
Before we implement the new search on our public website, we’d like to get some feedback to see how effective the new search would be for others.
We’d like you to take a few minutes to test out the new Google search and let us know what you think!
Please:
Visit the development website at dev.hacc.commonspotcloud.com
Type a word or phrase in the search bar and click the search icon
Review the search results listing

Good news! HACC recently received registered trademarks for two of our favorite phrases, HACC Yeah®! and HACC Proud®. These registrations provide significant advantages to the College in its enforcement of these valuable brands.
So, what does this mean for HACC colleagues?
Moving forward, any time you use these phrases, please add the registered (®) symbol. OCA has updated the HACC Yeah®! logo to include the symbol. Please use OCA’s logo request form to request an updated HACC Yeah®! logo.
You do not need to use the registered symbol if you are using hashtags like #HACCyeah and #HACCproud.
If you have items with these phrases but the trademark symbols are not included, please do not destroy or throw away the items. The use of a trademark symbol is not a legal requirement but does represent best practices.
The funds for the College’s integrated marketing communications are managed as one budget. This process was developed to help the College be more strategic and comprehensive with its integrated marketing communications initiatives and meet the goals of increasing student enrollment and enhancing public awareness about the College.
But did you know there are funds available to support collegewide or campus-specific projects that are not part of the collegewide marketing plan? For example, you may want to advertise an upcoming event or print flyers (when campuses re-open) to distribute. These funds are available to assist you.
Designees from each functional unit, assigned by the Cabinet, may apply for funds through the application for use of Integrated Marketing Communications funds. The form is also available under the “Marketing Funding Requests” portion of the OCA channel on myHACC.
Six times per year, colleagues have the opportunity to complete the HACC Foundation non-scholarship funding request process. For more information about the process, please visit the OCA channel on myHACC and review the online instructions in the HACC Foundation Funding Requests section.
Bimonthly, we will highlight a HACC Foundation non-scholarship fund available for use toward an approved project or initiative.
This month, please learn more about the Student Success Fund for Excellence at the Lebanon Campus, which is available to provide financial assistance to implement innovative programs to assist Lebanon students in their time of need.
For more information about this fund and other funds, please review the HACC Foundation non-scholarship funds matrix.
A HACC retiree, Mrs. Doris Allamong, passed away in June 2020 and left HACC in her will. Mrs. Allamong’s daughter recently informed the HACC Foundation of her mother’s generosity. Mrs. Allamong’s gift will provide emergency assistance funding to HACC students.
Per Mrs. Allamong’s obituary, “she was an early employee of Harrisburg Area Community College and worked there for 23 years, retiring as business office manager in 1988. Dedicated to the college's mission and devoted to its students, she took great pride in the achievements of both.”
Mrs. Allamong passed away at the age of 96. We are grateful for her service to, commitment to and love for HACC.
If you are interested in leaving a legacy like Mrs. Allamong, please visit hacc.edu/plannedgiving.
