NOTE: To be eligible for the Construction Essentials course, you must be legal to work in the United States and must be able to attend a 5-week onsite class in Panama City or Tallahassee, Florida.

Construction Essentials Course

NOTE: You must be legal to work in the United States. 

5-Week Onsite Class- Our Construction Essentials class prepares you for a career in the Construction Industry. The 5-week class is held quarterly (4 times a year).  

During the 5-week class, you will work extensively with hand tools and power tools and receive professional-level training from a certified instructor. 

You must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

• Be legal to work in the United State

• Able to attend a 5-week onsite class in Tallahassee or Panama City , Florida (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM)

• Ready and willing to interview with local employers and work in the Construction Industry

The curriculum for the class includes:

• Employability Skills

• Worksite Safety

• Construction Math

• Construction Drawings

• Hand tools

• Power tools

• Material handling.

At the end of the course you will:

• Earn a Nationally Recognized OSHA 10 Credential

• Earn a Nationally Recognized Construction Core Credential from NCCER

• Interview with local employers from a variety of construction fields

Graduates are qualified for the following entry-level positions in the Construction Industry:

• Landscape Laborer
