NOTE: You must be legal to work in the US, must have a high school diploma or GED, and must be able to attend a weekly 2-hour virtual class for 6-weeks to qualify for the bookkeeping courses below.

How Do I Access The Courses?

The courses listed below are only for residents in our region. Goodwill Big-Bend serves counties in North Florida and South Georgia. If you live in one of the counties listed below, then you can enroll in online courses and local classes at one of our Career Centers at no cost: 

Florida: Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Gadsden, Liberty, Franklin, Leon, Wakulla, Jefferson, Madison, Taylor, Hamilton, Suwanee, Lafayette

Georgia: Seminole, Decatur, Grady, Thomas

Intuit Bookkeeping Course

NOTE: You must be legal to work in the US and have a high school diploma or GED to qualify. 

6-Week Online Course & Virtual Class- Our Bookkeeping course prepares you for a variety of jobs in public accounting, private industry, government, and the non-profit field. You will have access to a six-week online course, plus six live virtual classes, plus full access to a certified instructor to ask questions and confirm your understanding of the material. Upon completion of the 6-week course, you will earn a Coursera Bookkeeping Credential, You can then enroll in the QuickBooks Online 6-week course, or you can complete the remaining modules of the Bookkeeping course to earn a higher-level Bookkeeping credential from Intuit. 

During this 6-week course and weekly virtual class, you will receive professional-level training from a certified bookkeeper. By the end of the course you will:

• Build a foundation of basic bookkeeping concepts and accounting measurement.

• Learn to work through all phases of the accounting cycle to produce key financial statements.

• Earn an employer-recognized certificate from Coursera

Intuit QuickBooks Course

NOTE: You must be legal to work in the US and have a high school diploma or GED to qualify.

6-Week Online Course & Virtual Class- Our comprehensive QuickBooks course includes all the training you’ll need to become certified in QuickBooks. Start with the basics to build a solid QuickBooks foundation, then learn more advanced concepts as your confidence grows. You will have access to a six-week online course, plus six live virtual classes, plus full access to our QuickBooks instructor to ask questions and confirm your understanding of the material. Upon completion, you can continue with the remaining modules in the course on your own to earn a higher-level Intuit credential and better prepare for the Intuit QuickBooks exam. 

During this 6-week course and weekly virtual class, you will receive professional-level training from an instructor with 20-plus years of experience with QuickBooks. In this course, you will:

• Create a company file and create new QuickBooks users

• Import data from Microsoft Excel into QuickBooks

• How to setup customer invoicing and accounts receivable

• Pay bills, track purchase orders, and set up accounts payable

• Create a chart of accounts

• Run reports on revenue, inventory, expenses, and more
