The Learning Glass Studio exists to encourage and nurture dynamic educational content design and creation that can be utilized in all modern teaching modalities.
The Learning Glass Studio is built around an LED lightboard. The lighting within the specialized glass creates a transparent whiteboard that illuminates writing with neon markers. When writing, the text will be readable for both the instructor and the audience because the Learning Glass app automatically flips it where necessary. When taken as a whole, the technology is perfect for flipped classes, hybrid classes, and remote classes.
Operating instructions for the Learning Glass Studio are updated regularly. Please let us know if you need specific guidance that isn't found in that living document.

Any instructor is welcome to use the Learning Glass Studio to improve their content delivery. In general, we ask that those who want to use the Studio do so when the Collaboratory is not in use. You should check the Collaboratory's calendar before reaching out to a member of the Learning Design and Development Team.
We are also happy to answer any questions you may have on the technology itself and/or how to use it effectively.
The Learning Glass Studio is an educational content design studio that allows instructors to record forward-facing learning modules enhanced by lecture notes transposed on a proprietary LED lightboard. The recorded lectures can be used for classes taught in any modern modality but are generally most effective in fully online, asynchronous classes.
The Learning Glass technology is a transparent LED whiteboard that illuminates writing with neon markers and is paired with a lecture capture system; all files are uploaded to the instructor's Panopto account (which must be created before the first use)
One-button video recording automates the entire process and enables the creation of high-quality video recordings without any prior video production experience
Instructors can integrate other pedagogical tools, such as PowerPoints or Google Slides, seamlessly
