Model United Nations

Depending on the program, schools from all over the country and the world send roughly 800-1,500 students. At some conferences, many students are from overseas. Prior to each event, schools are assigned a different country. Before the conference, students are assigned to different United Nations committees as representatives from our assigned country. The committees work to solve issues around a wide variety of topics such as Cyber-warfare, Migrant Workers, and Human Trafficking. In the past, other students re-argued the Nuremberg Trials, tried to prevent the Civil War in the Antebellum Congress, acted as an Editor for the Wall Street Journal, the King of Saudi Arabia, or the CEO of IBM.

In addition to the academic experience, students interact with young people from around the world, get to visit Yale, go to a dance or other social event, and hear prestigious guest speakers. We also improve our verbal and written skills while examining issues of global significance.

We organize participation in Model UN programs at various universities, including Yale, Brown, and the University of Toronto.
