Gender Equity Collaborative

Description: We are a student organization founded on the principle that all people in our school and the larger world are deserving of human rights, specifically as human rights relate to gender equity. We are a student organization committed to creating and maintaining an atmosphere of acceptance for all genders, transgenders and non-gendered people in our school community. As an activist organization, the Gender Equity Collaborative, is committed to highlighting issues of gender equity: equal pay for equal work; safe school and work environments, free of sexual harassment; fair use of dress codes; respect for all body types; attention to the language used to describe women’s bodies; catcalling; women’s rights and human rights around the world-the right to an education,to health care and to safety.
