Alliance

GHS Alliance Mission Statement We are a student organization founded on the principle that all people in our school and the larger world community are deserving of human and civil rights, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We are a student organization committed to creating and maintaining an atmosphere of acceptance in our school community. As an activist organization, Alliance is committed to cultivating connections with the other organizations in our school and larger community who work on the behalf of human rights. Our membership is comprised of students who identify as straight, as well as gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, trans*, and other sexual orientations and gender identities. Orientation does not matter when it comes to being part of Alliance. The question is: do you believe in working to ensure that our school is an inclusive place, conducive to student learning? If the answer is yes, then we could use your voice, your contribution, and your good company. Because, in the end, Alliance is an organization of bright, fun-loving, caring people who serve as a tremendous emotional resource for each other and for other students who may need their support.
