How to Get Involved
The functionality of TEMPO depends on the volunteer support you provide. Below is a summary of how you can help!
Volunteer! There is no experience needed! Our goal is to see every family helping out in some way. Help is needed before, during, and after each scheduled event. Some tasks can be completed in your home, while others require presence at the event. Anything you can do is appreciated, and you get the bonus of being a part of one of the most exciting groups on campus! Some volunteer positions can be a commitment, but those are the most rewarding.
Donate to the Program or Help Collect Donations: The Blue and Black Brigade has continually made progress despite a lack of funds. Without donations or fundraisers, this program would not be available to our students. The district only pays for the music director and a small amount of classroom supplies. TEMPO provides substantial additional funding to help maintain a quality music program.
All donations are tax deductible and carry additional benefits such as admission to certain events and mentions in concert programs.
Participate in Music Fundraisers: TEMPO holds several fundraisers throughout the year. We always need help advertising our fundraisers and manpower to run them.
Attend TEMPO Meetings: These meetings help families learn more about fundraising, program needs, the music program in general, and to meet other Blue and Black Brigade families.
Mark Your Calendars: Be sure to have the times and locations of events, meetings, and fundraisers.
