Valhalla's 7th annual Tournament is fast approaching. It is so important for us to have all parents participate in this event. All parents should volunteer for at least 2 time slots. I know life is busy, but this is the biggest fundraiser we will have all year. We need upwards of 50 adults to fill every time slot. We are not asking you to spend your whole day with us, we would hope you would but I know it's not ideal. We are asking for you to at least donate 4-6 hours of your time to help us out.

We Need Your Support!
Our program relies on donations for everything we do—especially to make our Home Show a success.
Now is the perfect time to start looking for sales and stocking up on the items we’ll need. Every little bit helps, and together we can make this event unforgettable for our students and community.

Please click the link to sign up to help at concerts to raise money for our band organization. This fundraiser brings in a lot of money for the year to keep the program afloat. Otherwise, we need to do a lot more fundraisers. Help out at least once.
Our program cannot run without parent involvement on competition days. These are some of the most exciting and important moments for our students—and they need us to make it all happen smoothly!
Here’s how you can help:
Towing: If you have a truck that can tow over one ton, we need drivers to pull 2 trailers to every competition.
Loading & Unloading: Help pack the RSDMF trailer with coolers of water/Gatorade, uniforms, shakos, plumes, and snacks—and unload everything so our students are ready.
Food & Hydration: Set up snacks and drinks before students get into uniform (since they cannot eat or drink in uniform).
Equipment & Props: Push equipment and props to practice areas and provide water breaks. On the field, parents ensure props and equipment are moved quickly and smoothly so students aren’t penalized.
Carpooling: We’re only given 3 buses for 5 away competitions and 1 district field show. That means we need carpools to get students to at least 3 high schools.
Competition days are a lot of work—but with parent help and teamwork, they run smoothly and our kids can focus on performing their best.
Please step in where you can—your support makes all the difference!
We’re currently looking for new board members to help keep our program strong. Right now, we have an urgent need for a Fundraising Chair, and additional positions will be opening soon.
A full board isn’t just important—it’s essential. Without enough members, we don’t have enough votes to operate as a nonprofit organization or make decisions about how our funds are spent.
This is your chance to:
Have a voice in shaping the future of the program
Support our students in a meaningful way
Ensure the success and sustainability of RSDMF
If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved, now is the perfect time. Together, we can keep this program thriving!
Positions we have open or are opening soon:
Fundraising chair
Communications chair
Hospitality chair
Orchestra liaison
PMAG Representative
Secretary
Parent at large
Webmaster
Color Guard Liaison
