Plywood comes in 4'x8' sheets. It can get quite heavy and pretty dangerous to cut directly at the table saw. A panel saw is a great tool for 'breaking down' sheets of plywood. Make your rough cuts here, then your detailed cuts on the table saw.
Always obtain permission from the instructor before using the panel saw.
The panel saw is operated by one person. The frame will hold the panel in place.
Before turning on the power to the panel saw, insure that the power cord is out of the path of the blade. Put it in the holder.
Pull the saw through the panel at a moderate rate of speed.
Use one hand to operate the saw and keep the other hand out of the path of the blade.
Always use approved eye and ear protection at all times when operating the panel saw.
