In EBSCOhost, the "Refine Results" panel allows you to filter search results. Some useful search filters to try include: publication date and source type.

As you select filters, they should be added under "Current Search." Click on the [x] to remove an active filter.
For publication date, move the sliders (or enter years in the text boxes) to change the range.
