We had a good, short week:
Fall Walk - We enjoyed our walk to the Medicine Park. We talked about the Medicine Wheel and what it can represent, about taking things from nature, and about the Indigenous protocol of offering tobacco to the Earth after taking from it. The kids all chose a stick and we painted it when we returned from the walk. When we are all back, they will decorate their stick to make it their very own talking stick.
Art - Check out their All About Me art/ELA activity they did this week. I think they look great!
Review Math -The kids have been reviewing numbers to 100. I did send this booklet home today. The kids are welcome to complete it so we can get right down to grade 2 math when we return. The kids also have access to Mathletics and Reading Eggs. They should have their login information in their agendas.
Guest Teacher - When I was away for the weekend, Mrs. Kellington was here. She descibed 2B as being an incredible group. They really are. This class is full of responsible, respectful, kind, hard working kids. I do feel very grateful for them.
Please read the weekly Principal's Corner for more infomation. Please note that school photos need to be ordered by Oct. 20.
If we are not back in time, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.
Take care!
