“Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness. It’s the spark that lights a fire of joy in your soul.” - Amy Collette

As we learnt in childhood, gratitude and thanks are ‘magical’ or essential qualities to have. Gratitude towards others, ourselves and life helps us stay grounded. With the pandemic, it has become more important than ever that we should be thankful to all front line workers including doctors, care workers, sanitation workers, delivery agents, grocers, vegetable sellers, police officers, NGOs, and essential workers who helped us tide over this time period. Lastly, 2020 also gave us the time and opportunity to relish the simple pleasures and joys of our lives. Joy has, after all, proved to be an incredibly powerful companion during suffering. It has a mysterious capacity to be felt alongside sorrow and even – sometimes, in the midst of suffering.
