On an average an adult needs about 2000 to 2500 calories to maintain his current weight. The number of calories depends on muscle size, gender, exercise, and a number of other factors.

The Healthy Regime

To follow a balanced diet, one has to follow certain rules. One should not skip his meals. Everyone should have at least three big meals and three small meals a day . But one should not prefer to eat junk food , desserts , fatty food , etc . Instead, he should eat food with nutrients containing minerals,vitamins , proteins etc. One should consume a good quantity of dairy products as it would fulfill the calcium requirement of our body. Last and the most important thing, one should eat fresh vegetables and fruits every day.
