Dilhi is a perfect spot for the tourists to explore its rich heritage, food and cuisine and to enjoy a lot. As Delhi is constructed by Mughals and British, we can find a mixture of Mughals and British designed monuments. Delhi’s monuments, museums and parks attract a lot of tourists. It is home to number of monuments like Qutub Minar, Red Fort, India Gate, etc. Parks/ gardens like Nehru Park, Lodhi Garden, museums like the Rail Museum, temples and gurudwara’s like Bangla Sahib and Hanuman Mandir are worth visiting. Tourists from all over the world comes to explore the rich heritage of the city. The country’s Parliament and the Rashtrapati Bhavan is also situated in Delhi.

Its shopping malls, old, famous and major markets attract a lot of tourists. Tourists come and shop from these markets to buy cheap and beautiful Indian items to take come with them as a memory. Chandni Chowk, Sarojini Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Karol Bagh the major markets of the capital. Delhi also has a well-developed transport system of METRO which makes it easy and convenient for the tourists to travel.

Kurgan is the beginning of Siberia. It is located in Zauralye (Russia) . Kurgan is large city with a population about 400000 people. In our city we have got a lot of theatres, a concert hall and museums. In the city there are two railway stations, an airport and a bus station. There are a lot of things to do. Visitors can, for example, visit famous places, walk in the parks, enjoy shopping.

Our Nature is very beautiful. On the territory of the region there are many rivers and streams, there are a lot of beautiful lakes.

Many lakes contain medicinal mineral waters. One of the most beautiful and unique places is Lake Medvezhye. According to legend, the bear healed a wounded paw in this water and in return gave this beautiful place the shape of his body.

The Kurgan is a small but beloved town. The people are friendly and welcoming.

QUTUB MINAR

QUTUB MINAR is the most legendary Indian Historical Monuments. The connotation of Qutub is the ‘pole of justice’. It symbolizes the triumph and power of Islam. it is positioned in Delhi and built using Red sandstone and marble. It was started building by in 1193 by the Mughal Emperor, Qutb-ub-din Aibak however, passed out by his descendant Iltutmish. It is a 73m tall Minar built in Indo-Islamic architectural manner. It has been added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.There is an eye-catching green garden surrounding the Qutub Minar drawing the minds of visitors. Visiting this monument in the vacations is the finest way to know about History. It is the most visited monument of the India where people come from every corner of the World.

RED FORT

RED FORT is a great Historical Monument of India. It is positioned in the centre of DELHI. It was constructed by the Mughal monarch , Shah Jahan. It is known as Lal Qila of New Delhi.It is known as Blessed fort means Quila-i-Mubarak from the ancient times. It enhances the glory of the capital of the country. It is made of using Red stones and marbles. It has been taken under the World Heritage Site in 2007 by the UNESCO. It is very brilliantly planned from inner and outer side. It has a big and magnificent museum inside, having residues of the Mughal time as a significant drawback.

LOTUS TEMPLE

LOTUS TEMPLE is located in New Delhi, India. It is a Baha’i House of worship completed in year-1986.Lotus being symbol of Peace and Prosperity, all around the World. The shape of the temple personifies the reason for which the base of this Marvelous architecture was led. Lotus Temple is made of faultless marble blocks,cement,dolomite and sand. It serves as the mother temple of the Indian subcontinent and has become a well-known tourist attraction. The group of nine pools filled with sparkling clear water describes the ascetic principles of the temple. The temple highlights the essentials that every human holds a key for better prospect of the whole mankind and with a mutual endeavor, the human race, will be able to support a newfangled World where uniformity will not be depended on Cast, Creed or Faith.

AKSHARDHAM TEMPLE

AKSHARDHAM TEMPLE is a Hindu Mandir, and a godly-cultural campus in New Delhi, India.It is dedicated to Swami Narayan Akshardham The complex displays Millennia of Traditional Hindu and Indian customs, theology, and architecture. It is an amazing world of Indian culture rich with over 20,000 statues, arches and elegantly engraved pillars. The monument depicts Ancient Indian Vastu Shastra and Architecture is a masterpiece in pink sandstone and white marble. The temple complex is likely to become one of the chief Tourist Attractions of Delhi. It is of 141 foot high, spans 96 meters wide and extends 109 meters long. It features a composition of architectural styles across India. The temple attracts more than 70% of all tourists to visit Delhi.

INDIA GATE

INDIA GATE is also known as 'ALL INDIA WAR MEMORIAL. it is a war memorial located along the RAJPATH, formally called Kings way and it was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. The monument is built with light brown Bharatpur stones. it is dedicated to the soldiers who lost their lives in World War-1 and Indo-Pak War. It was built in 1931. It is also known as 'The Gateway Of Delhi'. It is a popular picnic spot.The structure is 42 high and resembles Arc-de-Triomphe of France. It is the pride of Delhi. The names of soldiers are also engraved on it. India Gate is one of the largest war memorials in India.

RASHTRAPATI BHAWAN

The Rashtrapati Bhawan is the official home of the president located at the end of Rajpath in New Delhi. It consists of 4 floor with a total of 340 rooms with a floor area of 200,000 sq. feet. It was built using 1 billion bricks and 3,00,000 cm ft. of stone with little steel. It was built by Edwin Lutyens and Herbret Baker. The construction of the Bhawan started in 1912 and was completed in 1929. There are Mughal gardens situated at the back of the Rashtrapati Bhawan which includes both Mughal and English landscaping styles. They have a great variety of flowers and are open to the public in February every year.

JAMA MASJID

The Masjid-i-Jahan-Numa, commonly known as Jama Masjid is one the largest mosques in India. It was emperor Shah Jahan who constructed it in 1650-55. The highly decorative mosque has 3 great gates, four towers and two 40m- high minarets constructed of strips of red sand stone and white marble. Jama Masjid now the second largest mosque in the Indian Sub-Continent, is also an impressive example of Mughal Architecture. It is one Holy place deeply revered by the city and is here that thousands of people gather to offer their prayers and to conclude their fast during Ramzan days. The courtyard can hold 25,000 people at a time and Eid days look like the days of mass merry making! The mosque is built on an expensive stone platform that is accessible through flights of stairs from three sides, east, north and south. The eastern gate is the largest and served as the Royal Entrance. The mosque faces west towards the Holy city of MECCA.

LODI GARDENS

Lodi Gardens or Lodhi Gardens is a city plaza placed in New Delhi, India. Expanded over 90 acres (360,000 m2), it consist of , Mohammed Shah's Tomb, Tomb of Sikandar Lodi, Shisha Gumbad and Bara Gumbad, structural works of the 15th century by Lodis - who disciplined parts of northern India and Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa territory of contemporary-day Pakistan, from 1451 to 1526. The ground is now preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).The field was used as an interment for Delhi's (pre-Mughal) Sayyid and Lodi rulers. Mohammad Shar's tomb (1450) can be seen as a forebear for structure of Humayun's tomb and Sikander Lodi's tomb (1571) is set within a walled courtyard and openly related to Humayun's tomb garden. The domed mausoleums turn out to have been seen in a wide view. The architecture of historic tombs runs opposite to the Islamic conventions. It is an exceptional place which mirrors on the provenance of Mughal garden model.

GURUDWARA SHRI MOTI BAAG SAHIB

Gurudwara Shri Moti Baag Sahib is placed in Ring Road in Delhi city near Dhaula Kuaan. Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji encamped with his corps at this place. Priory it was known as Mochi Baah and next the name was known as Moti Baag. Guru Sahib Ji declared his advent in Delhi by shooting an arrow into right foot of the Emperor Bahadur Shah's chair from length of eight miles, Bahadur Shah was sitting in Red fort at that time. Seeing an Arrow, Bahadur Shah took this as revelation and wonder. Soon another arrow was shoot in left foot with a sign that this was not a miracle but an intelligence in archery. Emperor was fascinated with the skill and recognized GURU SAHIB’s superiority.

AGRASEN KI BAOLI

Agrasen ki Baoli, labelled as a secured monument by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act of 1958.It is a 60-meter long and 15-meter wide archival step well on Hailey Road near Connaught Place, Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, India. There are no recognized historical evidence to confirm who erected Agrasen ki Baoli. It is considered that it was basically erected by the legendary king Agrasen,It was rebuilt in the 14th century by the Agrawal society which proves its origin to Maharaja Agrasen.It consists of 108 steps and is among a few of its type in Delhi. The clear chunks of this historical step well subsists of three levels. Each level coated with domed slots on both sides. From an architectural context, this step well was possibly remodelled during the Tughlaq period.

Humayun's tomb

Located near the crossing of Mathura road and Lodhi road, this grandiose garden tomb is the first considerable example of Mughal architecture in India.

It was built in 1565 A.D. nine years after the death of Humayun, by his senior widow Bega Begam. In the indoors of the barricaded enclosure the most eminent features are the garden squares (chaharbagh) with pathways of water channels, centrally located well proportional mausoleum crowned by a double dome.

There are numerous graves of Mughal rulers located inside the fortressed enclosure and from here in 1857 A.D; Lieutenant Hudson had captured the last Mughal ruler Bahadur Shah II.

B. R. Ambedkar Memorial : A walk down the memory lane

Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, widely known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, was an Indian jurist, economist, politician social reformer and the architect of the Constitution of India, and a founding father of the Republic of India.Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate Dr Ambedkar National Memorial at Alipur Road in Delhi on the eve of Babasaheb Ambedkar's birth anniversary; The open constitution book shaped memorial built at a cost of 100 crore rupees is an amalgamation of Modern and Buddhist architecture. 26 Alipur Road the home where Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar breathed his last is known as Mahaparinirvana Bhoomi as well . This building is an amalgamation of modern and Buddhist architecture. 5 landmarks related to various aspects of Babasaheb's life are being developed as "Panchteerth"

A visit to B. R. Ambedkar National Memorial was organized for the students of Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh Students were fascinated by the architecture of the building which was built in the shape of a book. A meditation hall, a Bodhi Tree and a musical fountain were the other attractions of the memorial. The tour provided an insight into the life of B. R. Ambedkar and his contribution to India.

Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar (Yantra - instruments, mantra - formulae) was built in 1724. Maharaja Jai Singh of Jaipur who constructed this observatory went on to make other observatories in Ujjain , Varanasi and Mathura. Jai Singh had found the existing astronomical instruments too small to take correct measurements and so he built these larger and more accurate instruments.The instruments at Jantar Mantar are engaging for their brilliance, but accurate observations can no longer be made from here because of the tall buildings around.

Gurudwara Bangla sahib

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is one of the most prominent Sikh place of worship, in Delhi India . It was once a bungalow belonging to Raja Jai Singh in the 17th century and in ancient times it was known as Jaisinghpura Palace.

Eight Sikh Guru , Guru Har Krishan ji on his visit to Delhi in 1664 stayed at this palace.

There is a Sarovar (Pool) inside it. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib was first built as a small shrine by Sikh General Sardar Bhagel Singh Dhaliwal in 1783.

Currently its situated near Connaught Place, New Delhi on Baba Kharak Singh Marg . Golden dome and tall flagpole called Nishan Sahib are key attractions of the place.

People from all religions have faith in this Holy place and visit here on regular basis.

Langar hall a place where Prasad (Guru’s blessing in form of eatables) is distributed to every one is always full with devotees .

Also People from all faiths make their own Prasad and come and distribute here to the needy .The Prayers (Shabad and Kirtan) go on continuously throughout the day and helps to calm down everyone who come here to seek blessings.

Mughal Gardens

Situated at the backside of Rashtrapati Bhavan Mughal gardens also called presidential gardens are a group of gardens built by the Mughals in the Persian style of architecture.

The inspiration for building the same was taken from the Persian gardens particularly the Charbagh structure.

These beautiful gardens havevastvariety of flowers like around 137 varieties of roses on display, along with small patches of the Pasadena, Pansy, China Man, Marigold, Antigun, Pink Parfait, Dahlia, Zambra, and Laptosinia flower.

Eyepleasing pools, fountains and canals are also built inside the gardens.

Its opens for public every year in the month of February and March .

This year it opened for public from February 6 to March 10 2019 and welcomed visitors with 70 varieties of seasonal flowers, including specially imported flowers from the Netherlands and Japan .

Being major attraction this place gets lacks of Footfall every year not only from across India but abroad .

"Kurgan is unusual in terms of attractions city. There are many interesting places to visit. One of these is the Chimeevsky monastery, which is unusually beautiful and huge. Kurgan is rich in good people who can help you. Kurgan is famous for its aviamuseum, the largest in the Urals. A lot of planes in which you can sit. Kurgan is a wonderful culture city "

The Philarmonic Society

The Philarmonic Society of Kurgan was founded in 1943.

For the first time it was based on the Kuybishev street, then on the Troitskiy Square.

It was designed by Victor Ivashov.

Philarmonia was built in 1984.

Every year since 2001 there is "Shostakhovich Fest" in the Philarmonia of Kurgan.

There are a lot of operas in our Philarmonia, like "Karmen" by Georges Bizet.

There is only one sound-record studio in Kurgan, and it is based in Philarmonia.

The art-director of Philarmonic Soceity is Sergey Potapov.

Philarmonia is one of the most beautiful places in Kurgan.

It is a centre of cultural improvement of our town.

The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is one of the most popular places in Kurgan. The temple was built in the midst of the already inactive cemetery (now - Garden City) project Kurgan architect Nikolai Alexandrovich Yushkova. The Alexander Nevsky Cathdral was considered as one of the most beautiful buildings in the city and was entered in Encyclopedia Britannica as an outstanding architectural monument. The cathedral of Alexander Nevsky was closed in 1937, but now it is opened. Many people like to visit this Cathedral every day.

"I think that our town is very interesting, because every year many new houses and shops are built in it. There are many attractions in my city. For example, there is a park where various concerts are held. Also there you can walk with your parents and friends.

In our city there are many sports institutions in which children are engaged after school. There are also many factories and enterprises in our city.

Photo lovers should visit the unusual Kurgan exhibition area - the house-museum of the famous Kurgan photographer Kocheshev. It is located in the building of the photo studio, where the photographer himself once worked. Tourists can now see how the house of a photographe looked like in the XIX - XX centuries.

"Kurgan is a wonderful city. It is a capital of Kurgan region. There are a lot of beautiful sights and interesting places for tourists. In our city you can see a lot of magnificent churches. For example, there is a beatiful church in Detsky Park, that is very near to our school. We can see this church from classes of our school. There are couple of theatres in our city. You can watch very interesting plays here. Sometimes plays are based on a books of a Russian classical writers. Tourists can visit museums. There are a lot of interesting museums in our city, so tourists can choose them for their preferences. I'm very like a museum of Aircrafts. There are old planes, helicopters and you can sit in them. Kurgan isn't a boring place for the people from other cities or countries".

The monument to parents was opened in Kurgan in 2007. The money for its creation was collected by the citizens of Kurgan. The head of this project was the Foundation for the Protection of Childhood and Motherhood. The bronze sculpture depicts a man and his wife moving in a dance. The height of this pair is 2.5 meters. The monument is located in the city garden.

Bear Lake (Medvezh’e)

Bear Lake (Medvezh’e) is a salt lake. It is located in the east part of The Kurgan region. Bear Lake is a popular health resort in our region. It is even called the local Dead Sea.

According to legend in ancient time an ill bear was treated by the healing waters of the lake. So the lake has got its name.

Bear Lake is quite shallow. It is only 50-70 cm deep. In 1984 Bear Lake became a natural monument.

Bear Lake attracts a lot of tourists. Many people come here to treat several diseases. Some of them prefer package holidays but many people go to Bear Lake on their own. Earlier there were a few brown bears in Kurgan region.

Nowadays you won’t meet any bears here.
