Visit to University
University of Peradeniya is located as a part of the natural environment. It facilitates to visiting it to enjoy to general public. Following are the procedure that should be followed to visit the University of Peradeniya
Permission will be granted only for the O/L and A/L students.
Maximum 200 students are allowed for each visit.
A written request on a letterhead of the government school/education institute or other institutes approved by the government should be forwarded with a valid signature of a responsible office.
Private institutions need to pay Rs.3000.00 for a visit. The fee should be paid at the university shroff counter and the receipt should be attached to the request letter.
The request letters should be received by the university at least 10 days before the date you can plan to visit the University.
Prior approval of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor should be obtained and it is compulsory to keep the prior approval letter while visiting the university for security reasons.
In addition to this permission letter, the permission of the dean of the concerned faculty should be obtained for visiting the faculty premises.
Requests can be sent by post or email or fax. Also, it can be delivered to the office.
The requests made on a personal basis will not be considered.

Since there is a limitation of students who can be allowed, approval will be given on a priority basis considering the request letter received by the university.
Polythene is prohibited within the university premises, hence refrain from bringing polythene to the University premises during the visit.
Ensure to litter only at designated locations.
Unable to provide facilities for visitors to have food inside the university.
Vehicles should be parked only in allowed areas.
Do not disturb academic and administrative activities by singing, shouting, or playing music in the vehicles.
