The main functions of the Division

• Conveying information on important events of the University to print and electronic media

• Arranging media briefing as and when required in liaison with faculties, institutes, centers and the Departments and units.

• Granting approvals to the Visit the University for school children and various parties

• Attending to all matters related to foreign and local visitors – arranging accommodation, transport, guided tours within the University for local and foreign visitors

• Acting as a liaison officer between the University and outside organizations and public

• Providing logistics for all University functions and events (Convocation and Annual Research sessions etc.)

• Granting approvals for various filming to be done at the University Premises

• Receiving and directing visitors to relevant divisions and offices and providing relevant information on the University to the visitors on inquiry; receiving fax messages, recording them and distributing same to relevant divisions and offices etc.
