College-bound Seniors: Schedule a meeting with your counselor at least 6 weeks before your first deadline!
Transcripts are the most essential aspect of the student application to college. They list all courses taken during the high school years, final grades and credits earned, and the student's weighted and unweighted grade point average.
Students are required to request transcripts via Naviance at least four weeks prior to their first application deadline.
Step One: Log in to Naviance
Students can use their GRSU14 e-mail to log in to Naviance. They should reach out to their counselor if they have any difficulty. The student should see the Naviance front page as shown below. Under the Colleges tab or "My Favorites" the student will see their brainstorm list ("colleges I'm thinking about") and "colleges I'm applying to" which should only list schools where they are applying.
Step Two: Update your active application list under "colleges I'm applying to". This list should only include schools that you plan to submit an application. There are then two ways to request a transcript. See below for the options.
Step Three: Complete the transcript request process. The student will want to select that they are requesting an initial transcript, if they would like unofficial SAT scores included, and where exactly they want the transcript sent.
Step Four: You can confirm that you successfully requested transcripts in the "Manage Transcripts" page. All successful transcript requests will note the date requested. You can monitor the submission status of your transcripts on this page as well. Over the next few days, please watch your grsu14 email for an email from Mrs. Marston with a copy of your transcript to review. Please confirm with her if your transcript looks accurate and ready to send.
Please reach out to your school counselor with any questions!
